Villa Empain

On Thursday, 22 October, TreeTop invites you to the Soleil Noir evening exhibition, presented by the Villa Empain.

Soleil Noir brings together around one hundred works by Belgian artists. Spanning 130 years of artistic creation, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the work of Léon Spilliaert alongside major figures of modern and contemporary art.

The exhibition unfolds through themes such as self-portraiture, the nude, melancholy, landscape and the North Sea. A selection of around thirty works by Léon Spilliaert enters into dialogue with creations by his contemporaries, including James Ensor, Constant Permeke, Edgar Tytgat, George Minne and Henry Van de Velde.

An invitation to discover the many connections that link the great masters of Belgian art with the artists who continue to shape the way we see the world today.
